Sweet & Savory Toasts
Need an afternoon snack or something different for breakfast? Something that can be made gluten free, without tons of sugar, but that's still got tons of flavor? And...something fast? Make one of these Sweet & Savory Toasts. So easy, but combinations we might not often think of!
The Loaded Goat Cheese Toast with pistachios and honey is now a family favorite. It's crunchy, sweet, and satisfying for a late night snack! Let us know which one is your favorite, and try some toppings of your own, too!
Loaded Goat Cheese Toast
Ingredients
- Thick sliced bread - we used Kim & Jake’s Gluten Free Peasant Loaf
- Soft goat cheese, such as Portland Creamery
- Prosciutto
- Mt. Hope Farms Strawberry Lavender Fruit Spread
- Arugula
- Raw honey
- Crushed pistachios
To assemble:
- Toast your sliced bread to desired doneness.
- Spread a thick layer of goat cheese onto the bread.
- Follow with a heaping dollop of the fruit spread. Swirl with a knife or fork.
- Add one or two pieces of prosciutto.
- Top with arugula and drizzle lightly with honey.
- FInish with crushed pistachios.
Superfood PB & J Toast
Ingredients
- Thick sliced bread - we used Kim & Jake’s Gluten Free Peasant Loaf
- Nut butter of choice - we used classic creamy peanut butter
- Mt. Hope Farms Spiced Marionberry Fruit Spread
- Chia seeds
- Cinnamon
To assemble:
- Toast your sliced bread to desired doneness.
- Spread a thick layer of nut butter all over the toast.
- Follow with a few dollops of spiced marionberry fruit spread.
- Use a knife or fork to swirl into the peanut butter.
- Top with a generous amount of chia seeds and cinnamon.
